This festival signifies the victory of good over evil. What is that we learn from this tradition? That we root out all the evil in our mind, our system and our society the way we burn Ravan.

We burn Ravan every year, what does it teach us? Everytime we do that we should promise to kill the Ravan within ourselves & the society.

Like Lokmanya Tilak made Ganeshotsav popular, the people of Lucknow have carried forward the tradition of Dussehra.

There should be a celebration of Dusshera within ourselves as well, kill the 10 “haras” within ourselves.

This land has given us Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. Am fortunate to have come here to join the Vijaya Dashmi celebrations.

We must aim to finish the evil within us.

We need to be alert to defeat terrorism.

Jatayu was the first to challenge the terrorism.

We burn Ravan every year, what does it teach us? Everytime we do that we should promise to kill the Ravan within ourselves & the society.

America used to say terrorism is law and order problem but later they realized it’s a global problem.

Terrorism is against humanity. Countries need to unite against terrorism.

Countries which support terrorism needs to be exposed & identified.

Picture of a Syrian girl few days back in news paper brings tears in our eyes.

Without eliminating terrorism we can’t expect existence of hunanity.

By taking inspiration from Dussehra we need to address social issues.

Today is a girl child day. Ravana was punished for misbehaving with Sita mata. But today we are differentiating between boy and girl child.

One Ravan who committed crime against Sita is being burnt year after year at Dussehra. But what about the countless Sitas who are destroyed in the womb year after year. Who will destroy the Ravan with us.

We should start celebrating birth of girl child as well like we celebrate of boys.

The uniqueness of this nation is- our traditions have been kept alive, generation after generation.

Educated or uneducated, rich or poor, urban or rural, whichever religion you belong to — the rights and dignity of women should be protected.

We need to save girls.

We are people from Yudh (war) to Budh.
